FACCE-JPI is hiring a Scientific Valorisation officer

FACCE-JPI is hiring a Scientific Valorisation officer. Your role will be to follow the FACCE-JPI research portfolio, disseminate and valorise key research results and to make these results meaningful for key stakeholders (e.g. policy-makers and practitioners such as farmers, entrepreneurs, etc.). You will be based at INRAE in the Directorate of Academic Partnerships, Regional and European Affairs in Paris.
Job description
◼ Implementation of the Strategy for the dissemination and valorisation of scientific results to ensure coherence with the FACCE-JPI Strategic Research Agenda;
◼ Organisation of valorisation workshops and other meetings related to FACCE-JPI themes;
◼ Researching, developing and drafting articles, policy briefs, practice briefs, web content, presentations, podcasts etc. in association with the relevant researchers;
◼ Working with the joint action coordinators as well as the communication team to ensure the visibility and impact of FACCE-JPI actions;
◼ Analysis of relevant policies, foresight, literature etc. to contribute to FACCE-JPI scoping exercises, preparing various written outputs, e.g. annual reports, background papers, inputs to publications and websites related to these actions;
◼ In the framework of the ERA-NET Cofund FOSC, set-up and animation of a «knowledge platform» in order to gather and valorise research results.
TRAINING AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Languages
▪Fluent English
▪French (would be an asset)
Training
▪Minimum: Master’s degree level with a diploma in scientific communication or in sciences with an experience in scientific communication
Experience
▪Minimum of 2-year work experience in relation with the job position
▪Familiarity with FACCE-JPI research themes (agriculture, food security, climate change)
▪Knowledge of EU policies and policy-making processes related to agriculture and environment
▪Knowledge on European research projects, especially ERA-NETs would be an asset
Skills
▪Outstanding writing and communication skills in English: capacity to analyse, synthesise and disseminate scientific findings related to FACCE-JPI subjects
▪Good organisational and time management skills: ability to work with short deadlines and handle multiple tasks and subjects
▪Strong interpersonal skills: good team worker, ability to relate to people of different backgrounds and cultures and be diplomatic
▪Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other design tools would be an asset
▪Skills for remote work (not mandatory at the moment)
